Utah, 2012: Annie Kasprzak, a former foster child now in the home of her case worker, goes missing with a note saying she ran away. Less than 24 hours later, her body is found in a nearby river. Her best friend was the last to see her alive and he says she had a boyfriend named LJ, unknown to her parents. The mysterious LJ may be the only lead the police have to her killer.
